Mirjana Huic

I am medical doctor, PhD, specialist in clinical pharmacology and toxicology. Since 2009, as the Assistant Director in Croatian Agency for Quality and Accreditation in Health Care and Social Welfare, and Head of Department for Development, Research and HTA, I am responsible for establishing transparent, evidence-based HTA process in Croatia and actively participate in different European network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) JA WPs.

In EQUIPT project I am contributing to WP3 (Task 3, in testing transferability assumption in 3 out-of-sample countries),  WP4 (Task 2, in organizing international workshop with stakeholders from those countries with limited capacity and budget for the implementation of evidence based public health policy, mostly CEE countries) and WP5 in dissemination of project findings.

Mirjana Huic (MD, PhD) is a medical doctor, specialist in clinical pharmacology and toxicology. She is appointed as representative of Croatia for EUnetHTA Joint Action Plenary Assembly and actively participates in different EUnetHTA JA WPs. In May 2012 Dr Huic has been elected for the two years position – Chair of the EUnetHTA Plenary Assembly.

From 1992-September 2006 she worked as clinician and clinical trials investigator at Section of Clinical Pharmacology, Department of Medicine, Zagreb University Hospital Center and Zagreb University School of Medicine,  Zagreb, Croatia; from September 2006-September 2011 as Editor for Evidence-Based Medicine, in Croatian Medical Journal (CMJ), Zagreb, Croatia and from September 2008- July 2009 as Director of Institute for Clinical Medical Research, University Hospital “Sestre milosrdnice”, Zagreb, Croatia.

She is a member of Croatian Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP), Council of Science Editors, and HTAi. Author or coauthor of different scientific articles, book chapters, international and national HTA Reports.)
