I am an economist specialising in health and health care. My current research is centered on the “economics of lifestyles”, in particular how public policies affect the adoption of (un)healthy behaviours and how to make these policies more cost-effective. In my recent published work I study the impact and design of tobacco taxation and in previous work I have looked at the impact of health shocks on labour market outcomes, socioeconomic inequalities in health and health care utilisation, gender wage inequalities and fiscal policy evaluation.
